Countryside Days is our largest education event and is being held on 10 and 11 June 2014.

It is aimed at Key Stage Two (7 to 11 years) children from across Yorkshire and Humber and up to 6000 children attend over the two days. It comprises up to 100 practical and interactive workshops covering every aspect of farming, the environment and the countryside. It also includes three ‘shows’ the Sheep Show, Farm Animal Arena and Countryside Arena. It is held in the Yorkshire Event Centre, Great Yorkshire Showground and the surrounding outside area.

Yorkshire Trails, Marco circus skills as well as many other providers will be running a series of mini workshops at the Countryside Days in Harrogate in June. They will be providing ‘taster’ versions of their longer school workshops.

  1. We’re looking forward to running our ‘mini’ mystery solving workshop – groups will uncover a mystery and find and solve a series of clues putting their numeracy, literacy, observation and puzzle solving skills to good use!
