The Harrogate based website, School Trips and Workshops, in conjunction with the Holiday Inn Harrogate are pleased to announce a fantastic Tour de France themed education day to celebrate the arrival of the Grand Depart in North Yorkshire.

On Friday the 6th June, 300 Year 5 students from 8 local primary schools will take part in an action-packed, fun-filled day of workshops at the Holiday Inn Harrogate. A memorable day of curriculum aligned workshops is promised, ranging from geography to drumming, circus skills to cycling and crafts to the French language. We will even have a mini Tour de France cycling challenge!

Founder of School Trips and Workshops, Liane Levine said, “To have the Grand Depart in Harrogate is a truly historic and exciting event. The purpose of our education day is to excite local students about Le Tour de France and to use this sporting event as the catalyst to bring learning to life. The day will showcase a wide variety of local workshop providers listed on our site.”

www.schooltripsandworkshops.co.uk  holds a directory of trip and workshop providers for primary schools, key dates, charity events and news useful to teachers. It is a fantastic resource to bring together schools with local providers in order to give young people a memorable educational experience.
